Just as the leaves were falling, and changing color, we were hit with freezing temperatures! There was a chance of SNOW last night. (luckily that didn't happen here) 

 The sun is so very misleading. It was 32 degrees this morning!
I almost didn't go out for a run, almost. But I did.
And I rocked it. 
It felt good, and somehow my pace was better than it has been in, well, ever maybe. That I am not sure of, but definitely recently. 

 I just may be ready for the Jingle Bell Run. 43 days left and there is still time to donate, click here!

 But seriously, so many leaves with the chill doesn't make ya feel like raking. If only we could do this.

Does anyone else dislike raking? 
(I do, especially when I realized it now really hurts to jump in a pile of leaves.)

    I loathe raking...especially when the leaves in my yard come from someone else's tree!!! We started having our lawn service remove our leaves with the bagger/sucker feature on his riding mower...BEST MONEY EVER SPENT!!

    oh, to be able to hire someone to take care of the leaves......
    We hired someone to get the yard in shape when we first moved in here. The lawn hadn't been mowed or tended to for the entire spring and summer, then we moved it.

    Since then we have tended to it ourselves, and SO many leaves, all on our property. A good workout I guess, but I dread doing it.

    I wish there were little green guys raking it under the sidewalk...lol.

A surprise suggestion, this song was. I asked a friend-who-is-family for some ideas, as I wanted to do a Music Monday this week, but was having trouble picking a song. Weekend Musings ~ Will Walk for Bread

Back in the mountains, I love it. I forgot how lovely the summer is here, and finally the weather is gorgeous. The flowers are out and everything is green. Wildflowers My musing this weekend are as simple as enjoying two of my favorite things:  Walking and  Bread It has been tough for me to let myself take the time to get a few walks in ~ yes I was too busy to get walks in and I know that is just an excuse but sometimes you just gotta take a break. From everything.  And any more than that, I just do not want to dwell on. Also, I am not feeling too wordy today, so will just let the pictures speak for me. The road to the RAD and the bakery nestled in the district with the bread (no beer for me)  A river crossing - it sure did look muddy today probably from the recent rains. Bread and soft pretzel - yumminess. River crossing heading home - lovely even if still muddy.
