TIME - Things I Must Enjoy

Last week, I pondered how fast time was going by. I was reminded of this by the fact that two of Vintage Raige's timepieces (the only two in the shop) were featured in collection in the same week.

But as usual, I was grieving the lost time. I was lamenting on the fact that days were whizzing by, kids were growing, and I was probably reading too much into the coincidence.

Then this week, The Fantastic Five appears, and focuses on TIME.  It featured all different kinds of timepieces. Great collection of items, but what got me was in one of the comments.

My adopted Grandmother Carolyn (from Grandmother House) had the best acronym for TIME:

        • T - Things
        • I - well, just I
        • M- Must
        • E - Enjoy

she also included Things I Must Earn, but that is too stressful of a mantra for me today.

I love the reminder to enjoy. Sometimes we forget that.
The clock keeps ticking, enjoy every tick-tock and you will not have to grieve, lament, or regret anything.

ENJOY! and don't forget to check out The Fantastic Five on Zibbet.com

  1. Having similar thoughts. Been doing so much running around this past month, no time even for my blog. But I bought this $5 little fountain that runs on batteries from CVS. Not sure what prompted me. Except sometimes I just want silence, no kids, no radio...but not UTTER silence...problem is, you get what you pay for; I hear the buzz of the little batteries more than the water...stressful.

  2. oh no...buzzing of batteries is louder than the water! that stinks.
there is nothing more soothing than the sound of water, in my humble opinion. I hope you can find one with no buzz kill, lol.
and hey, what a great idea, I should put a nice indoor fountain on my wishlist...

  3. What an awesome acronym!

My daughter actually talked to me about time the other day. She had a very scientific reason why it seems so fast for everyone lately. Alas, I can't describe what she said, but it has something to do with the earth alignment or something.

  4. Your right we need to enjoy every moment we have doing what we love and spend less time thinking about how fast time is going by. Thanks for the reminder!
