Yes, I Know What I Look Like. NO, I Don't Care.

I know I started out yesterday a bit crazy, but I eventually got it together and went to town to take care of a few things. I actually got a lot accomplished!
Today, I decided it would be a leggings and big baggy sweatshirt kind of day. I had a lot to do, but didn't have to go anywhere. So I decided to slum it a bit. (I didn't even wash my hair!)
Well, here it is, almost 2pm, and I haven't crossed anything off my list! YES, I even made a list!!
So I decide to at least get a blog done. And as you can tell, I was not really motivated to write, but I just decided to get it done, and that would be one thing off the list. Not the best attitude going into it.
This is one of many days I have had like this lately. Sorry, but I have to ask...."What is wrong with me?"
I have had far too many days where nothing gets crossed off the list! I have several of those days where there is not even a list!!
The sun did come out, and it is a beautiful day! But here I am wandering the internet, snacking on stuff, passing that laundry that has to be folded several times (I mean that is an EASY thing to cross off the list and I can't even find the motivation to do THAT!).
It is well past time to get off my duff here and get something done. HOW? Just do it, I guess. Sometimes that is all we can do. Sometimes that is all we need to do. And then the rest comes naturally.

I am off to cross stuff off my list!!!
(still, getting properly dressed is not on the list.)
I know there are 'list people' out there, but what happens when you don't get to anything on your list? How do you find the motivation to start?

haha! I feel like this is the story of my life. I really should care more what I look like...
ReplyDeletesome days I do, others I don't. I REALLY need to get back running though, because then I would at least feel better when I don't care what I look like....lol
DeleteOiy, been trying to comment on this all day. I'm not sure I have a good answer... if I'm not motivated and it's not critical - I don't do it. :P I get a lot more done when I'm motivated than when I force myself to do stuff and I'm not...
ReplyDeleteIt is hard to force yourself, that is for sure. But sometimes that is just what I need to get the ball rolling.
Delete{funny that you weren't really motivated to comment. ;) }
