As I sit and stare at the boxes in the basement, living room, and piles of stuff throughout the house, at least I have this peppy tune to make light of the situation.

 I am prepping for a yard sale, compiling piles of our things that we no longer need or want. Add to that about 20 boxes of books just picked up at an auction, and I wholeheartedly agree with the lyrics posted at the beginning. A book burning may just be a good idea!

But no, these were bought in the hopes of re-selling to make a wee bit of money to actually help us in our move. The reality is that this is a task I am quite overwhelmed with. I love books, but this is ridiculous!

If I had the time, it would be great to sort through, scan some, and read others, If I had time to wear pajamas in the daytime, and measure afternoons with coffee spoons, I would do just that. 
But, sadly, that luxury seems so far off.

Back to pricing, sorting, and gearing up for a humungous yard sale, with GREAT DEALS on some very interesting and hard to find books! 

I hope people show up.

    Oh man, you're made of stronger stuff than I am. I'd have a hard time not diving into all those books!

    Hubby's job, not mine. Although he picked out a few he thought I would like, and I reluctantly agreed. We will be adding a few to our already large personal collection.
    You just can't help it, can you?

    We have so many books. It IS ridiculous. But Jordan absolutely refuses to get rid of books. Sometimes I get rid of them when he's not looking. Don't tell! :)

      Good for you! How do you DO it? Does he not notice? Or just not yet....
      Thankfully, hubby has agreed to put all but a few of them out for our yard sale.

It's not the kind of money tree you are thinking.  I wish it was. But it is not. It is technically a Pachira . The name supposedly comes from a story of it's origin.  A poor man prayed for money, and then found this "odd" plant. He took it home as an omen, and made money from selling plants grown from it's seeds. I bought it at a grocery store when we first moved back to the states, in 2004 . We had just moved in to our own house, after being displaced from Hurricane Ivan , and our new place needed some green. This was the biggest plant, for the least amount of money , at the grocery store. It said it was ' foolproof ' , and that is the right plant for me ! I thought the name was an omen too, hoping it would bring good fortune, meaning a little money .  It decorated our living room in New York for almost 6 years ! Music Monday! Just Dance

A surprise suggestion, this song was. I asked a friend-who-is-family for some ideas, as I wanted to do a Music Monday this week, but was having trouble picking a song. Just didn't have any that felt right at the time. So this friend, who by the way is someone we (hubby first actually) 'met' online. Communicated for quite a while before actually meeting in person. But you just know when you click with someone and we are going on over 8 years of friendship, I believe, though it feels like we have known each other forever. She has been a wonderful addition to our extremely small circle of friends. She is 'auntie' to my kids, she is who I vent to almost on a daily basis via messages, she is always willing to listen unconditionally. And that, my dear readers, is hard to find these days.
