Walking on Wednesday - I got my new shoes on

Well, not yet, but first thing tomorrow I sure will.

I finally decided to invest in a proper new pair of walking shoes. Well, technically they are sneakers, but hubby hates that word, so just call them my walking shoes.

It had been at least 3 years since I bought new sneakers, errr walking shoes. I noticed the treads on mine were a bit worn, well, nearly smooth actually, and thought I should really get some new ones because maybe that is why my knee has been hurting me.

So off I went this afternoon to the mall with my daughter for some new walking shoes. Is it bad I bought them the first store I went in, the first pair I tried on? Well, that is how much I love these shoes.

I put them on and said, "Wha??? This is how proper walking shoes should feel?" MAN what I was missing.

So tomorrow morning, I will wake up, have my coffee and check my emails, slip on my new walking shoes and new sweatpants, and probably have the best walk I have had since we moved here. (I have worn those same tired shoes each walk here, a year and a half now)

It will be the first time I have walked all week. I managed to walk every day last week, but this week none yet. Now there is no excuse, and I am looking forward to it.

But tonight, I am too tired to take pics, and too tired to think about walking. So will do my first post without pictures, and save that for tomorrow.

Night all, and here's to a wonderful Thursday, with my new shoes on.

  1. I hope you didn't think I was making fun of your new sweatpants before. Makesme think really, I'm due for some new ones (I have these fleece ones I LOVE but it's been too damn warm this winter to snuggle up in them). How far do you walk every day? You're inspiring me. I wind up at the gym but I wouldn't mind some fresh air...or rather, how long do you walk for? And do you listen to music or to the birds?

  3. Don't worry, a post without pictures is okay - I do it myself.

Glad you could get a new pair of shoes. I need a new pair myself - the ones I have still have plenty of cushion and tread, but the top is falling apart.... I hate shoe shopping, but I'll have to do it...

  4. Thank you all!
Sandra, I didn't think you were making fun of me, I really a excited about my new sweatpants. lol.

I walk at least a half hour, sometimes 45 minutes, when I walk. There is also usually 2 to 3 hills I have to go up, and down, on my course. If I could remember to load my mp3 player on my computer, and charge it, I would listen to music, but for now I just listen to the birds chirp, and all the dogs in the neighborhood bark. There are a lot of dogs in the neighborhood, lol.

It is cloudy today, and I don't want to get my new shoes wet, but I am going anyway.

Have a great day all, and Sunfire, good luck finding some new shoes.
