Just a small complaint today. Well a few rather large ones actually. We need to move these things from their current location, and let me tell you I am extremely tired of moving things.  If there IS a bright side, we only have these things to move at the moment.  We have managed to sell many of the the displays we ended up with at the close of the business.  I should be thankful for that. And I am. But, we still have large, heavy things to move.  It is seemingly neverending. The sad thing is, I suspect we will be moving things many more times.  Either moving things from storage to the booth, or slowly moving things we don't need from our house.  We are trying to lighten our load. Moving, moving moving. The last move was quite the ordeal , and I do not want to have another "adventure" like our family move here. Never, ever again. All these moves now I hope will make our next family move much easier than it was last time....

Less furniture ~ it is too hard to move and we know we will be moving sometime in the future even though we don't know when. Less papers ~ they are heavy, both physically and mentally. My mother hoarded papers, I am so afraid of doing that. Less Kitch ~ I vow to keep only the most meaningful and beautiful. This is hard to purge, because we are collectors of the unique and interesting, and so have cool old bottles, tiny sculptures, beautiful scrimshaw, hand painted eggs and feathers, great vintage lamps (yes, we have been hoarding lamps of all things). Each thing is great, has meaning and a special place in our hearts. These are the tough things to let go of. Less blankets ~ seriously we have so many! But I feel like I can use them as batting in quilts, so I hang on. But maybe it's time to let a few go. Less Kitchen things I never use ~ will I ever make 2...

source: alainn bella Well, hopefully I can get through more of my list, but as you know, procrastination is one of my talents . This Tuesday, I hope to clear off our dining room sideboard. It is an antique, beautiful, and perfect for collecting clutter. I am hoping to sell it off, with the dining set, and simplify our lives a little more.  No big, heavy and difficult to move, clutter inducing furniture. It is a never ending battle we have against clutter. Every few years I get the itch to get rid of a huge amount of things, and this year it is hitting me strong.  So today, I hope to continue the purging. This is not the chipper TGIF kind of Friday post.  I am sorry to put a damper on your excitement for the weekend, but today I am finding I miss those 'good old days' where we didn't have worries other than lava on the floor. source: Pinterest I am not feeling that chipper! The true test of any relationship is the assembly of cheap-ass Chinese pressboard furniture. We have spent the last 20 years testing our relationship doing this. When the day started, we had no idea we would end up putting together 5 big-ass displays, with no directions, but a memory of how they went together. We started out the day looking forward to spending it together. Normally a treat.  But as the day went on, after moving a huge amount of heavy furniture, (remember, we have been moving crap for the last 2 weeks....) after re-arranging our new booth at The Regeneration Station , and "disagreeing" over many, many things along the way, we were then tasked with putting together those Chinese made, pressboard displays with some very heavy parts.
