Take this as literal, as in actually digging in the dirt and sand. The song relates to, as says Gabriel, "During this period I discovered the most unbelievable phenomena within myself, characteristics which I value for myself, but also characteristics with which I would rather not be confronted, like unlimited rage, or merciless hatred." But no such rage or hatred was involved in this digging. Only curiosity and awe at the finds. This led to research, a digging of sorts, for information on practices long changed and nearly lost. The site was next door to a cemetery, and after the earth and sand was greatly moved for a new development, these things were near the surface! Very interesting finds, and the mind does want the stories that go along with such things. Thankfully, hubby is a pro researcher, having the interest and curiosity to search and search until every possible thing is found out, every possible theory, scenario, etc. At times, it is tough to keep...

Betsy is like me in a way, having fallen in love with art at a young age, then venturing off into a corporate world. Hers was technology.  We both also found inspiration in our daughters. Well, it was supposed to free of  Raige work . I was going to focus on home stuff, like laundry and dishes and picking up kids from sleepovers . And the morning was full of that. But then I checked the mail , and found a package from my favorite charm maker , Daresa, of Clay Art by Daresa . These yummy looking candy canes will soon be appearing on a set of Christmas Toekini's . Also in the works are a set of Snowman Toekini's .  And what Christmas is complete without Santa ? So look for Santa Toekini's too.  AND A first for  Raige  - Christmas Stockings . I am still working on the idea but the local gift shop   (their main web site here - all proceeds from sales in the gift shop in Weaverville go towards the personal care business) would like some Christmas things. I offered stockings, and they said SURE . Just gotta figure out how to get Toekini's on Christmas stockings.....what was I thinking? I wish I could say I have one of each Toekini...

Autumn.  The time of transition from warm to cold,  the harvest time.  Last Saturday, here in Weaverville , it was time to harvest the Art.  Weaverville hosts the Art in Autumn Festival every September, and has been doing so for five years now. This year, it was a festival of over 100 juried artists and artisans, musicians throughout the day, and lots of happy, friendly people. (One vendor told me she will be back next year just because the people here are so friendly and have such a good attitude.) The Art in Autumn Featival booth, sponsored by the Weaverville Business Association I decided to volunteer to help sell the Art in Autumn merchandise and raffle tickets, proceeds going toward the festival costs.  I thought it would be a great way to meet people (moved here just a year ago and we still don't know too many people) , and experience the festival a little, as I want to apply next year.  I met some wonderful people, and some wonderful ...

I want to introduce you to Daresa ,  my favorite charm maker.  Green Rose on Black Toekini's You may know Raige's series of Rose Toekini's,  and the Lucky Bug Toekinis,  Red Lucky Bugs on Black Toekini Blue Faith Toekini's and more recently the Cross Toekini's.  These came to life with the wonderfully creative and exceptionally good quality products of Clay Art by Daresa , and Lucky Bugs Collectibles Shop . I was lucky enough to meet Daresa on Zibbet , and I quickly found she can read my mind.  She is so friendly and sweet, and so ready to tackle whatever idea I have. She always delivers JUST what I had in my mind, and usually even better than what was in my mind. Like these charms. Ask and ye shall receive.... I asked her to make butterfly charms, some kind of sun charm, and a Canada Inspired charm; a special request for a Mom and her little girl.  And just look at the butterflies! "Bootiful" was what the little girl said! H...
