Love Art? Don't have time to go to a Gallery? Try this - a 2 minute and 5 second tour through every painting on display from the painting galleries in the MoMA on April 10, 2010. (from chrspck on YouTube - www.chrspck.com )   It is set to the piano solo "Mad Rush," by Philip Glass , which is a nice compliment to the eclectic mix of paintings you will see. It goes rather quickly, but gives a nice taste of everything there is, and you can pause whenever you like to fully enjoy the pieces you like.  This was mentioned in the latest Real Simple Magazine (my favorite), and once I checked it out, I knew my Music Monday followers would really appreciate this. Father's Day Special Cats in the Cradle - by Ugly Kid Joe I remember this song, a 1974 hit, when I was a small child.  The lesson got lost on me then - I just liked it because of the familiar nursery rhyme references.  It wasn't until Ugly Kid Joe made it popular again in the early 1990's, and I was about to have my first child, that the meaning of the song truly sunk in.  I was touched by the sadness, and took the warning of the message of 'actions speak louder than words' to heart.  I try to keep that in mind each day with my children, with those near and dear to me, and hope that my children will learn to value each other, family, and those close to them. Let's remember this Father's Day to honor our Dad's and keep in mind how short life is - and don't let things go left unsaid or undone... I have had a terrible week this week as far as allergies go. I still don't know what I am actually allergic to, but Tuesday night and most of Wednesday I was completely suffering more than all year! I took a normally effective medicine, Claritin , but it felt like I took nothing at all. I have tried other medicines, but most make me feel, as they say, foggy or cloudy, but I say like I am swimming in gel. (I hate that feeling!) I complained to anyone who would listen, and found out some interesting things along the way. Many more people suffer from allergies than you think - more than 26 million Americans suffer from seasonal allergies. Allergies also take a toll on mental well-being.
