It has been such a beautiful week here, and I have been working for "The Man" every morning.  So after work, the 'lazy summer days' feeling has overcome me.  These things have led to a complete lack of motivation, and has sapped every bit of Raige Creations' creativity and productiviy right out of me. It has even found it's way into my marketing efforts. I am trying to prepare for this weekends' Saturday Blog Shoppers Sale, and I am fresh out of ideas. In honor of my daughter'a recent adventure as part of the 8th graders who just finished 'FMS /BMS Quest 2010'.  Her school offers a great hiking and camping experience for 8th graders every year called 'Quest'. A group of wonderful teachers and community members organize about 60-70 kids and teach them how to survive safely in the wilderness (pack a backpack, cook, clean up, set up tents, use the "bathroom" or "take the poop position" as they affectionately called it, take care of blisters, hold hands while crossing streams with strong currents, etc). They go on 3 hikes, a one-day, a two-day, and a 4-day. Yes, that is right, 4 days, hiking over 30 miles, over 3 nights out in the woods with 60 kids and an adult and/or junior leader for every 2 to 3 kids.  This year Fredonia asked another nearby school, Brocton Middle School , if they would like to join the Quest team, and so this was the first year kids from both schools took part.  The two-day ...

Happy Weekend everyone! I am trying to be enthusiastic, but feeling a bit uninspired. I had a long week, and feel like I am in a bit of creative slump. I have ideas in my head, but something gets lost between head and hand.  Perhaps you all have had moments, weeks, or even months like this?   I know a good hug from someone (something) sure does help, so that is why I am giving up my Polka Dot Teddy this week for someone who needs a great hug, for someone who needs that unconditional support from a cuddly buddy. I still have his cousin, Teddy Dog (still needing that tail sewn on!) so I won't be left alone, but thought one of my fellow creative readers could use a smile. Sometimes, songs are in my head all day, all different ones, and I am humming happily from morning 'till night. Other times, there is nothing but silence, or only to-do lists, or worries about unfinished projects.
