Music Monday! Two for Tuesday!! Imagine we Paint It Black
Wow has it really been a month since my last post? I am so sorry all!!
If you haven't heard, we opened a shop in downtown Asheville - Blue Rage of Asheville.
It is celebrating Asheville - Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow.
We have vintage and antiques in honor of Asheville in the Art Deco period when it was flourishing. We have local talent creating jewelry, pottery, and arts and crafts to celebrate the vibrant community of Asheville today. And we will be featuring up and coming talent in our gallery section to celebrate Asheville tomorrow.
Because of this new venture, I have been quite absent from Raige Creations and this blog. But, here on my second day off since we started this whole new venture of Blue Rage, I thought it was time to get blogging again. And because it's Tuesday, that means you get 2 musical selections.
First, because we have vintage records at the shop, and we have been listening to them on our record player, I want to feature John Lennon's Imagine. We loved to listen to this album, it set such a great mood in the shop. But of course, this also was the first vintage record we sold at Blue Rage, within the first week we were open. We only got to listen to it a few times before it went off to it's new home.
I hear it, and the word imagine sticks with me. Imagine if we never took that leap of faith and opened a shop that has been our vision for many years. Imagine if I was still every day at home wondering what to do with the opportunities that are all around us.
You may say I'm a dreamer...but I'm not the only one.
Number two can only be from The Rolling Stones. We have a vintage record of their greatest hits, and have been listening to this because it is not in it's original cover (thus harder to sell), but also because it is a great album.
So let's Paint it, Black.
Not that we are painting it black to match our mood, as the song may imply. Quite the contrary.
We are celebrating the years of yesterday, the opportunities of today, and the promise of tomorrow. That is what Blue Rage of Asheville is all about. Yesterday. Today. Tomorrow.
That is what has been keeping me so busy, and thus away from blogging. But what a great opportunity I have to share with you things all the rage at Blue Rage. So until tomorrow - learn from the past and enjoy today.
Yeaaah, glad you found the time to write again! Missed you......glad to hear the Rage is making an impact in downtown A'ville!
