A bit unlike my recent blatherings of how wonderful life is and how good things are going?

Yes.

But I have realized one thing:

No matter where you go, no matter how hard you try to be positive, there are some things that just suck!

 I will give you three things you will most likely wholeheartedly agree that universally, totally SUCK:
Utility Companies
Used Car Salesmen
Insurance Companies

No matter where, when, what other things are going on, these things ALWAYS suck. 

The key is to always remember....

      Oh Barbra, I didn't mean the people that have to work for those greedy companies...most of the time, the people are the only saving grace!

    Quite true. We're going to have to deal with utility companies when we move later this month--not looking forward to it!

It's not the kind of money tree you are thinking.  I wish it was. But it is not. It is technically a Pachira . The name supposedly comes from a story of it's origin.  A poor man prayed for money, and then found this "odd" plant. He took it home as an omen, and made money from selling plants grown from it's seeds. I bought it at a grocery store when we first moved back to the states, in 2004 . We had just moved in to our own house, after being displaced from Hurricane Ivan , and our new place needed some green. This was the biggest plant, for the least amount of money , at the grocery store. It said it was ' foolproof ' , and that is the right plant for me ! I thought the name was an omen too, hoping it would bring good fortune, meaning a little money .  It decorated our living room in New York for almost 6 years ! During that time, about 2 years after I bought it, I tried to root it from clippings just for fun. It worked , and I grew another money

Music Monday! Just Dance

A surprise suggestion, this song was. I asked a friend-who-is-family for some ideas, as I wanted to do a Music Monday this week, but was having trouble picking a song. Just didn't have any that felt right at the time. So this friend, who by the way is someone we (hubby first actually) 'met' online. Communicated for quite a while before actually meeting in person. But you just know when you click with someone and we are going on over 8 years of friendship, I believe, though it feels like we have known each other forever. She has been a wonderful addition to our extremely small circle of friends. She is 'auntie' to my kids, she is who I vent to almost on a daily basis via messages, she is always willing to listen unconditionally. And that, my dear readers, is hard to find these days.
