More Gift Card Holders - Only 53 days until Christmas!

Image
53 days until Christmas .  Only  49 days until Hanukkah , and just  51 until Kwanzaa.  That still may seem like a lot. Or it may seem like not enough time ! Depending on how you shop for the holidays, it is either plenty of time or not near enough . What is a great way to get a gift, a quick gift , a gift for someone you don't quite know what to get?  A GIFT CARD, or MONEY . What is a wonderful, personal, and thoughtful way to present a gift that is often considered impersonal, and not very thoughtful ? Gift Card Holder made with Two Bucks Cash by The Purple Rat A very unique, handmade gift card holder. Like the one above, by The Purple Rat . Using money for money. Brilliant ! Judy, from Portable Graffiti , presented us Zibbeters a challenge back in the beginning of October to create wonderful, creative, and thoughtful gift card holders that she could feature in the Fantastic Five for all of us ....er those... last minute shoppers .  I ...

I won...I won...  Sandra with her Rose Scarf It is a blogger award, and this one is really special for me because it came from Sandra , a Writer who Weaves a Tale . She is a published author , and I love reading her blog. She really does weave some wonderful tales there, and reading her blog is something I do when I am looking to get away from the usual FB and promoting things that I do on the computer. It sit back, relax, and enjoy her writing.  Sandra is a very talented weaver as well, and  her shop has the most beautiful scarves, necklaces and wraps, plus handbags as well. She is an artistic and creative lady, who really has a way with words. As I am trying to make writing a bigger part of 'the Raige', to receive this from her is really an honor. And that it came 20 days into NaBloWriMo , where I am now struggling to write every day (I missed 2 days!!), it has given me that push needed to stop slacking and get the writing done . The Liebster Award aims t...

Night Owl or Early Bird, and Pinterest!

Image
I was up early this morning. Got the kids off to school, and was enjoying the rest of my coffee while online. This is becoming part of my routine, a nice part. As long as it doesn't waste an entire morning ..... While on Facebook , a friend was complaining about being an early bird   while her significant other being a night owl .   This I could relate to! {I am shot about 10 pm most nights, falling asleep on the couch, even computer sometimes. And I usually cannot sleep past 9am. Hubby, on the other hand, doesn't crawl into bed before 3am on a regular basis. And to get him up before 11am is a chore. He is most productive when I am fast asleep, and vice-versa.} Eggplant Purple Handwarmers with Bright white button flower To make a long story short - my friend was saying she must seclude herself to the cold , closed in porch so her light sleeping night owl would get enough sleep. And her hands were COLD!  Well, Raige makes gloves , perfect ones for sti...

Walking on Wednesday - Walk of Innocence

Image
This is the best walk to witness. When you can enjoy the unplanned aimless  wanderings of adorable children. Marveling at the simple ,  but ever so touching gesture  of a handful of dandelions . And it is even better to see the smiling , and inquisitive  glances of one who has yet to walk . Not to mention  they are wearing  my all time favorite   Toekini's. Thanks to Norma of Texas Eagle Gallery for the request to create these one of a kind Toekini's and for sharing her beautiful grand daughters wearing them.

We often forget ourselves.   Always busy working, creating, cleaning, grocery shopping, cooking dinner, taking care of others, the list goes on.... But what about time for ourselves? We always hear  'make sure take time for youself' ,  'don't forget to take care of yourself' 'pamper yourself' Lavender Seas Mud Mask Who has time for that? (See long 'to-do' list ) But really, it doesn't have to take a lot of time.  A little pampering can go a long way.   A quick spritz, a short application of lotion, using a special soap in the shower, slappin on a soft and luxurious lip balm.  Personal Smelling Salts Any one of these small actions will remind you  - you are important - take care of yourself!  Need some guidance?  Becky from RWestDesigns is where to turn.  She knows full well what it is like to be busy!  Not only does she have a family, and some extra little ones to watch during the day,  she runs the Sample Z Box ,...
