Music Monday! Raindrops.....

For living in an area called Dry Ridge, it sure has been raining alot here. 2 days straight now, but actually we really did need it. Maybe we won't be in a rainfall deficit, as they say we are in on the news. This one sure brings back memories of my childhood, A.M. radio, and the era when rainy days meant you couldn't go outside to play, were stuck inside playing with your boring Fisher Price house and amusement park (complete with Ferris Wheel) with your siblings, which inevitable led to a fight, and the little people and marbles being thrown around the room and at each other, and then spankings all around.... Oh the good old days....

Music Monday! Stir It Up

A little raggae for this Monday.

Vintage Raige

Introducing Vintage Raige - the newest section at Raige Creations. Vintage Teapot I absolutely love vintage things. Similar to my ove for fabrics that have lived other lives, and are made into something else, the stories of things of the past are so intriguing. Vintage items have character, and some even personality.  And they are things that you can't find at your discount department store. So I am very happy to share the items from years of collecting, items that are unusual, interesting, and have great stories behind them.  Antique Bee Smoker c. 1907 This Bee Smoker was a great find, and I was thrilled to find out the history of the company that made bee keeping supplies since the late 1800's.  The A.I. Root Company, founded by Mr. Amos Ives Root in 1865, began by Mr. Root offering a coworker a dollar for a swarm of bees as they passes overhead. From there he developed a thriving business providing innovative bee keeping supplies to bee keepers from al...

Music Monday! Blind Melon - No Rain - and Bees

It rained nearly all weekend here in the mountains, which is what we needed. But I am glad the sun is out today. It has inspired me to finally add a new section to Raige Creations - Vintage Raige! My first listing is this wonderful Bee Smoker made by the A.I. Root Company in about 1907. I love the history of items like this like this historic footage from the A.I. Root Company , and am glad to be able to share with my friends, cutomers, and fans a new side of Raige. There is much more to list, from my slight addiction to auctions and yard sales, that will make Vintage Raige on Etsy and Vintage Raige on Zibbet  THE place where Vintage is all the Raige.  Keep checking to find unusual, interesting, and fun items.

What Do Men Want and How Do We Find It? It's a loaded question perhaps, but hopefully we can learn something here. It turns out they DO think totally different from us, and it actually IS quite affective, especially when it comes to searching for things they like! And don't forget it is IndieSmiles.com's Birthday Bash going on now. It has been a year of sharing great articles and Indie Shops news, and to celebrate we are supporting the ASPCA. Be sure to join the fun and go to IndieSmiles.com ! There are great pictures and items to be seen, and tons of prizes to be won, including a $10 gift certificate from Raige Creations on Etsy or Raige Creations on Zibbet .
